Project description:
Dip coating has long been known as an efficient method for coating materials with grip enhancing characteristics. This example exemplifies a grip enhancing application; however the same methods can be applied to increase vibration dampening, which we have also provided to customers in the automotive industry.
This product was designed for use as a pull up bar used on exercise equipment. To provide for adequate adhesion of the polyvinylchloride vinyl coating, the bar had a specially formulated primer applied prior to dipping. The bar measured 29.00″ in length, 1.50″ in width, was 0.040″ thick, and represents a small volume run for our facility. The finished product featured a lightly textured matte black finish, and was subject to visual and dimensional inspections during production. Our dip coating process is very consistent and can maintain tolerances of ±0.005″. To learn more about this project, see the table below or contact us directly.

This Was a Good Example of Dip Coating. Dip Coating is Taking a Customers Supplied Part and then Coating it with; in this case, Vinyl. The Purpose for this Dip Coating is to Give a Better Grip. In Other Applications, it is Used for a Vibration Dampener. We also Dip Coat Parts for the Automotive Industry.
